Day Retreats
Day retreats are an opportunity to maintain the focus of practice throughout a day of meditation, simple activities and Dharma discussions. During the morning the emphasis is on maintaining the quiet and contemplative sense of being on retreat. The afternoon offers opportunities to discuss the Dharma. You are welcome to join the retreat for any part of the day.
Day retreat schedule:
Morning:
10am Welcome
Meditation (30 mins)
Morning Service
Silent Tea
11.20am (approx.) Meditation (30 mins)
Walking Meditation (10 mins)
Meditation (30 mins)
ending approximately 12.30pm
1pm Bring-and-share vegetarian lunch
Afternoon:
2pm Meditation (25 mins)
Walking Meditation (10 mins)
Meditation (25 mins)
3pm Dharma Talk with tea and biscuits
Dharma discussion/ Questions and Answers
ending at 4pm
