Meditation Days
Meditation days are open to anyone who is familiar with the practice. If you are new to meditation in our tradition, please arrange to come to an introductory event first.
Sundays at the temple are an opportunity for silent reflection and meditation, and to practice "just sitting". There are double meditation periods, with walking meditation in between, starting at 10am, 11.30am, 2pm and 3.30pm. You are welcome to come for any part of the day, and you can join in with any of the meditation periods that you would like, or you can use the time to read or just sit quietly in the common room, or in the garden when the weather permits.
There aren't any dharma talks or discussions during the day, but there is the opportunity to speak individually with Rev. Aiden if you would like to.
You are welcome to bring a packed lunch and eat it in the common room. Tea-making facilities will be available.
All meditation periods are for 30 minutes.

If you are coming part way through the day, you are welcome to arrive at the temple at any time, and you can sit in the common room until the next meditation period starts. Please don't enter the meditation hall part way through meditation periods: you can come in during the break times between meditation periods, or after you hear the signal gong at the end of walking meditation.
